Pediatric hematology involves the study and treatment of blood diseases and blood forming organs in the body of infants. Follow up is provided for children with cancers like :-

•    Leukemia (blood cancer)
•    Lymphomas,
•    Brain tumours
•    Solid tumors like neuroblastoma, Wilms tumor
•    Germ cell tumors as well as
•    Bone tumors like Ewings and osteosarcomas

Children with all other blood disorders are seen in Hematology clinic. These are mainly non-malignant conditions such as :-

•    Thalassemia, sickle cell anemia
•    Anemia
•    ITP
•    Thrombocytopenia
•    Coagulation disorders
•    Hemophilia etc
